ORDERING INFORMATION
Everything you might want to know about booking a consultation, serving sizes, allergy and dietary information, our service and how to order.
Consultations
To discuss ideas for your special desserts or cake, flavors, fillings or decorations, or to taste a sample, we would be pleased to arrange a consultation. Consultations can be done in person or via video conference. Make sure your event date is available prior to scheduling a consultation. Please get in touch through our Contact Us page.
Our consultations are included, but if you would like to try three delicious flavors and filling combinations from our Cake Menu, we just have a nominal $30 charge. This will be deducted from the cost of your cake if you make a booking with us. Want to try more than three, no problem. Additional cake samples are just $10 each (not deductible).
When To Order
All our cakes and desserts are made to order and individually home baked to ensure each is perfect. Certain holidays and weekends are very popular from year-to-year and book quickly. If we can accommodate an order we will but not if it will compromise an existing booking. To avoid disappointment, we recommend ordering as far in advance of your wedding or special event as possible, especially for wedding season.
Payment Details
A 33% retainer will secure your booking (non-refundable) and the remaining balance is due 1 month before delivery or collection of your cake. We accept payment by bank transfer, card payment or cash. Full payment must be received before the due date to ensure delivery.
Delivery or Pickup
Serving Colorado Springs and beyond, we will deliver and set up your dessert table, wedding or celebration cake within 20 miles of our Greenbelt location at no cost on orders over $100. Subject to a delivery charge outside of the 20 mile radius. Customers can collect orders that are easy to transport from our Greenbelt location, but we cannot be held responsible for any damage that may occur after customer pickup from our premises.
Cake Stand Hire
Some venues can provide a cake stand, but if you would like to rent one, we have a selection of stand available. Each are available to rent at a cost of $20. An $50 deposit is payable on booking, $30 of which is refunded on return of the cake stand undamaged and in the same condition as supplied within 3 days of your event.
Price Guide
Every wedding and celebration cake we make is individually designed to customer specifications. Prices will vary according to the size, the complexity of design, and the amount of labor intensive elements. Incorporating a dummy tier or tiers will reduce the price and serving size but retain an impressive centerpiece for your event.

Portion Guide
A typical serving size for a wedding cake is often 1”x 2”. Party serving are slightly larger at 1 ½”x 2”.
Our standard height tiers have three layers of cake and are typically 6” high.
Our double barrel tiers have four layers of cake and are typically around 8” high. When sliced each portion is cut in half, providing double the number of servings.
Allergy and Dietary Information
Please let us know if you have any special dietary, food allergy or food intolerance requirements. These are important considerations when ordering your cake or favors.
We take great care to prevent or minimize the risk of cross contamination when preparing your wedding or celebration cake or favors, however our premises are not nut-free. We bake cakes and other confections containing nuts and our main oven is used to bake macarons which contain ground almonds. We cannot therefore guarantee no cross-contamination. Please do discuss with us any special arrangements you would like us to make to cater for any food allergy or intolerance requirements you or your guests may have.
Refund/Exchanges
Due to the tedious, handcrafted nature of our products, we are unable to provide refunds or exchanges for custom orders
Once you or a designated party has picked up an order and signed for it, it is considered "accepted" – we will ask to make sure that everything is correct such as the design, spelling, etc. Refunds requested due to decorating style, writing, color shade, or general design will not be honored after signing for your cake. In some instances you may bring the cake back in for design adjustments but this is an additional charge if the cake has been signed for.
All products are the responsibility of the customer once it leaves our shop. We are not responsible for any damage occurring to the cake during transport, set-up or any time thereafter. You will be given instructions on how to carry, transport, and store your cake upon pick up. Keep in mind that cakes are very fragile and damages can happen if not handled properly – such as cracks, smudges, melted frosting, etc. We only give refunds in accordance with refund policies stated below.
Cake flavor and texture is subjective. Full refunds requested due to flavor or texture after the cake has been accepted and picked up will not be honored. You may qualify for a percentage of a store credit if the product is brought back and the quality of the cake flavor or texture is determined to not meet our standards. Cakes must be brought back to us within a timely manner, preferably with 12 hours of pick up - please call or email us promptly to let us know of the issue. Quality determination is solely at the discretion of Sweet10 Desserts. Please understand that we cannot issue refunds for cakes that have already been completely eaten. *Store credit percents are based on how quickly the cake is returned, how much has been consumed, and what we determine the quality to be. Store credits of any kind will not be issued to customers who do not contact us within 48 hours. Refunds of any type is at the sole discretion of Sweet10 Desserts.
